Beavers Half Term Newsletter

What a fantastic half term we’ve had at Beavers! It’s been packed with fun, teamwork and plenty of memorable moments.

Welcome Back!

We began the term with a special “Welcome Back” evening, welcoming everyone back after the Christmas break and giving a warm welcome to our new Beavers joining the section. It was lovely to see everyone reconnect, make new friends and start the term full of enthusiasm.

Escape Room & Quiz Night

Our Escape Room evening was a huge success, with Beavers working brilliantly in their lodges to solve clues, crack codes and complete challenges before time ran out. It was fantastic to see their teamwork and problem-solving skills in action.

We followed this with a lively Quiz Night, where general knowledge, quick thinking and teamwork were put to the test. The Beavers showed great sportsmanship and encouraged one another throughout.

Lodge Building Evening

During our team/lodge building evening, we focused on strengthening friendships and developing cooperation within the lodges. Through a variety of fun challenges, the Beavers practised listening to each other, sharing ideas and supporting their teammates.

Beaver Talent Show

One of the highlights of the half term was our Beaver Talent Show. It was wonderful to see so many Beavers confidently sharing their talents. A special mention goes to Eli, who amazed everyone with a few impressive magic tricks that left us all wondering how they were done!

Water Rockets at Garners Field

We rounded off the half term with a very fun and energetic evening at Garners Field, where the Beavers built and launched their very own water rockets. With the help of Dan Lanichbury, they designed, constructed and then launched their creations high into the sky. The excitement as the rockets blasted off was brilliant to see!

Overall, it has been a rewarding half term filled with laughter, learning and teamwork. The Beavers should be incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved — we certainly are!
